Georg Baselitz | J?rg Immendorf | Anselm Kiefer | Markus Lupertz | A. R. Penck

This exhibition is comprised of over forty prints by major figures in contemporary German art: Georg Baselitz, Jorg Immendorff, Anselm Keifer, Markus Lupertz and A.R. Penck. The installation of the artworks presents these diverse artists in a sensitive and provocative context which highlights the unique qualities of their personal expressions.

This exhibiiton will run concurrently with an exhibition at the University of Chicago's David and Alfred Smart Gallery entitled An alle Kunstler! War-Revolution-Weimar: German Expressionist Prints, Drawings, Posters and Periodicals. The simultaneous showing of these two exhibitions provided an instructive contrast between German Expressionism of the early part of the century and the German Neo-expressionists of today.
