This performance is a benefit in conjunction with the University of Chicago Department of Music.

Pergolesi's comic opera will be performed in English. Dorothea Brodbeck, Harold Brindell, and Robert Spiro will sing the leads. Kay Ewing Hocking is stage director, and Siegmund Levarie the conductor. The orchestra is from Collegium Musicum.
