Sculptors' Fountains
Photographs, Prints, and Models April 04 – May 08, 1948
The fountain has always provided one of the most satisfactory media for free sculpture in the round, enlisting the services of the greatest sculptors in the solution of its technical problems.
In recording the triumphal progress of these masters, we have no desire to minimize the contribution of the architect to that happy interrelation of water, sculpture, and space that makes a sculptor's fountain.
Photographs, Prints, and Models, arranged by Bertha Wiles of the Department of Art.
