This exhibiiton will explore the notion of drawing as evaluated by the contemporary artist in the seventies. The drawings are varied, ranging from the simple to the elaborate, from the extemporaneous to the deliberate.

Minimal artists and sculptors such as Donald Judd, Robert Morris and Sol LeWitt are included along with the conceptualists Bruce Nauman, Vito Acconci adn William Wegman. Photorealism is represented by the drawings of Chuck Close, and realism by Alfred Leslie's preparatory renderings. Environmental drawings by Robert Smithson and the geometric work of Mel Bochner and Dorothea Rockburne are also inlcuded.
