Florence Koehler, 1861-1944

November 21 – December 14, 1950

 
Mrs. Koehler lived and worked in Chicago in the early days of her career before she became a famous jeweler and lived in Europe. There she had among her friends Henry James, Roger Fry, who wrote an appreciation of her work in jewlery, Ricketts, Shannon, Augustus John, and the musicans Percy Grainger and Roger Quilter. The present exhibition includes paintings, drawings, and examples of jewelry. Works in the exhibition are lent by Mrs. Henry D. Sharpe.
