Coptic Textiles and Paintings by Marsden Hartley and Max Weber
November 11 – December 12, 1945
Coptic art has been a source of pleasure and inspiration to many leaders in contemporary painting--to Georges Rouault and Georges Braque, in France, and to Marsden Hartley and Max Weber, in the United States. In this exhibition, The Renaissance Society is following its earlier custom of presenting in harmonious combination, the living arts of the past and present.
