Contemporary American Prints Selected by Five Printmakers
January 26 – February 25, 1950
The prints in this exhibition are the independent selections of John Taylor Arms, Stanley William Hayter, Max Kahn, Beatrice S. Levy, and John Sloan.
All of these artists are distinguished for valuable contributions to printmaking, clearly defined personal convictions, broad technical knowledge, and wide acquaintance with the work of others in their field.
We are grateful for their enthusiastic interest, for the exhibition fulfills the desire of the Renaissance Society to present a broad picture of American printmaking, including many divergent viewpoints in work of the highest quality.
