For the third concert in their Intimate Music series, presented at the Renaissance Society during winter and spring 2005, the Maverick Ensemble, a relatively young music group that has quickly gained glowing reviews, continues its focus on small chamber works and solo pieces.
The bill will feature works by Mario Davidovsky (Argentina), Hanns Eisler (Austria), Leonid Hrabovsky (Ukraine) Witold Lutoslawski (Poland), Paul Oehlers (U.S.), and Kaija Saariaho (Finland).
