The author of three books and recipient of numerous awards, Guillermoprieto has written about Latin America for more than 20 years. She is a frequent contributor to The New York Review of Books and The New Yorker.

Organized by the Center for Latin American Studies and co-sponsored by the Katz Center for Mexican Studies. Sponsorship provided by the Tinker Visiting Professor endowment at the University of Chicago.
