This concert is a rare hometown duet appearance by two of Chicago's outstanding musical talents. Composers and musicians George Lewis and Douglas Ewart have been performing together since 1971. As early progenies of the AACM (Association for the Advancment of Creative Music) both Ewart and Lewis studied under and went on to record with Anthony Braxton, Fred Anderson, Muhal Rochard Abrams, Roscoe Mitchell, Chico Freeman, and countless others.
