Fashion Show

Location: The Renaissance Society
Admission: free

For today only, an informal fashion show organized by Steve Starr, shop owner and producer. Starr has arranged to have models "living" in three environments he created in the Bergman Gallery. Amid furniture by E.J. Ruhlmann and glass by Rene Lalique, one gets a chance to view such rarities as a 1935 black-satin-with-embroidered-egg-dots gown, and a 1925 Paris original made of chartreuse velvet, encrusted with silver and glass beads in a geometric cityscape. The beautiful people, circa 1973, have never had it so good.
