Video and Language/Video as Language

Jacques Nyst
J?ai La Tete Qui Tourne, 1984
17 min., color, stereo

In J?ai La Tete Qui Tourne (My Head is Spinning), a whimsical and philosophical dialogue between a man and a woman forms the basis for a complex play of words, images and ideas. As they banter about ?moving the earth and night to a small gray corner,? Nyst flirts with the mundane and the cosmic, revealing a genuine delight with the philosophical implications of language.
